Darren Sarll’s Stevenage claimed a 1-1 draw against fellow play-off hopefuls Coventry on Tuesday night after a plucky and spirited display.

Sarll’s young side were gritty throughout, with their outstanding winger Tom Pett notching the equaliser.

Hitchin’s Blueharts Hockey Club have been busy this week with three wins, two draws and five defeats across the adult sides at the weekend.

The men’s seconds put on a good performance beating Potters Bar, as did the ladies’ seconds against opposition from the same club.

The ladies’ fourths came back from Milton Keynes with three points to put them in second place in their division.
